HYST Pioneered Effort of Localization “Made in HYST” Conquered Deep Water

On November 29, conference of conducting technology qualification for submarine line pipe used in deep water 1500m below the surface of water in CNOOC Lingshui 17-2 gas field was held in Hengyang. Trial manufacture and small-batch production outcome of X65QO submarine line pipe of various sizes passed the technology qualification by the expert panel. This is the first time that China conducts the localization of submarine line pipe used in deep water 1500m below the surface of water. Lingshui 17-2 gas field development engineering project team is tapping into deep water, joining hands with HYST.

HYST is the only domestic supplier of submarine line pipe used in Lingshui 17-2 project, and has successfully supplied X65QO submarine line pipe of various sizes for this project this year.

The expert panel fully recognized the outcome of small-batch production and concluded the qualification with some comments and suggestions. The experts reached an agreement that the strategies and technology route applied in the small-batch production of submarine line pipe supplied for Lingshui 17-2 project were reasonable, all indicators of the product met the requirements of the project specification and the related specifications, and thus HYST is qualified for mass production of the product.
