Technology Center of Hengyang Valin Steel Tube Co., Ltd. was accredited as the provincial-level enterprise technology center in year of 2000. After nearly 20 years' development, it has evolved into a powerful science and technology R&D team with nearly 200 staff members. Among them, more than 20 staff have master's degree or higher, and more than 20 staff have senior engineer title or higher. They constitute the core force of the company's scientific and technological innovation.

The Technology Center has established a provincial-level academician and expert workstation, two municipal-level academician and expert workstations, a laboratory recognized by CNAS, and a provincial-level engineering research center specialized in the research of high-quality special seamless steel tubes.
The Technology Center has more than 300 sets of experiment equipment and facilities and several specialized laboratories, which is capable of testing the mechanical properties and chemical compositions of the steel tubes, analyzing the microstructure and carrying out research for the compositions, processes, structures and properties of the materials. All in all, we have primarily established a technology experiment base and research platform for research on seamless steel tube processes and new product development.

Since the foundation, the Technology Center has developed a large number of new products, and created considerable economic benefits for HYST. For steel tubes used in oil and natural gas industry, the Technology Center has developed the whole series of API products as well as non-API premium connections with proprietary intellectual property rights. The Technology Center has also made major advances in pressure vessel tubes and mechanical processing tubes, with numerous products developed in collaboration with the renowned Chinese enterprises selling well across the world. Our scientific and technological projects, including those involving product developments, have been awarded national, provincial and municipal prizes 60 times. Meanwhile, we now own 121 national patents and have presided over and participated in the formulation and revision of 51 standards.

Centering around the goal of "leading the development direction of the industry, leading the product standards of the industry, and leading the market positioning of the industry", the Technology Center will base its development on industry-university-research cooperation projects and be committed to becoming a comprehensive scientific and research group combining research, experiment, test, application and promotion.
